C2AGE...it came and went...in a flash!

WELL HELLO ABANDONED-BLOG-FOR-ALMOST-A-WEEK..!!!
i told my self to update this blog AT LEAST once a day, but oh well...^^

ANYWAY~~~
yup, my VERY FIRST event for 2011, and my very first Cosplay of the year..LOLX!!

ok, first...lemme talk about the event first...XD
I m not sure whether it is because there hasn't been any major events in these few months or what, but there was a sudden surge of cosplayers in this event....it's like..HOLY BANYAK ORANG..!!!(though, still short of the scale of what CF was...i mean, come on, it's still in a shopping mall..^^)

Anyways, i think for this event, give it a year or two, it could pretty much be on the same scale as Comic Fiesta....i'm not too sure how the event went during the competition (mainly because i was suffering from migraine due to lack of sleep, and also...hunger -- no really, i don't know i was hungry at all, until i had supper and the migraine finally stopped....I AM A PHAILURE AS A HUMAN BEING..!! NOT KNOWING WHAT HUNGER IS...!!! AAAAaa.....)

The booths were selling rather nice stuffs (merchandises from Taiwan, Japan and Hong Kong -- GOT MYSELF A VERY CUTE AND FLUFFY HIBIRD!!!) but well, as usual, it was at a wrong time. I don't get my pay until a week later, and that booth doesn't accept credit card (which, was a good thing, else i think i can sing HALLELUYAH when my credit card bill arrives..LOL)

so, all in all, i would give the event a 7 /10...why 7 you asked?
hmm...it might be my mistake, but there werent' any clear agendas on the event. I had no idea when the competition was (wanted to have a look).....
Apart from that, well, there's something missing from the event...the UMPH-ness..i dunno how to explain, but you just don't wanna stand there the whole day...i dunno? i might just be me...^^

but it was still a good event nevertheless (it satisfied my cravings for cosplays...hahaha)

PHOTOSHOOT!
ok, first of all, i almost died from the heat....it's been 6 months, and then i went and put on that costume which covered my TOP to TOE....all in black....
i had no idea the migraine came from the heat, or the hunger...really..my brain was confused...

It was a good thing that the team managed to find a stairway that NOT MANY people used....so we could have our own time there..(except, we had to stop occasionally because our make up melted......Msian weather has always been VERY HARSH to cosplayers....(-_-;; )

OH..btw, i got some shout outs saying that
'WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU DURING THE EVENT!??!!? DIDN'T SEE YOU!!!!'...
lol...first day, i was at some emergency stairway near the car park at B1...so lol..doubt anyone could find our team....
and on the 2nd day, we were at this abandoned-because-it-was-a-sunday-no-one-was-working office lift doing our photoshoot....LOL..
so there, hahahahahah....
and then after that, i changed, went and had an early dinner...and went home..LOL!!!!
Also, on 2nd day, i was a bit blind.....couldn't get use to the contacts, so everything was practically PURPLE to me.(one eye was red, one eye was blue....LOL)

So I M SO SORRY IF I DIDn'T SAY HI..!!! I JUST COULDN"T SEE.....><;;;;

on a sidenote, heres what i cosplayed. didn't take any photos of the event though....mainly because my camera wasn't with me, and on day 1, i was wearing a pair of leather gloves...so i can't possibly use my iphone...=_=

So for day 01, i was BK201 Hei from Darker Than Black. I had Riko as my cute and adorable Yin. Unfortunately, our photoshoot was cut short because of the heat and stuffiness of the venue. Not much to choose from, but at least it was better than the parking lot.....

And also, my uke-ish Riko as my Hibari....though, she was kinda pissed halfway through the shoot....i'm not sure whether the rest could feel it, but i sure did....

OHH..on a sidenote.....I just remembered a stupid joke i cracked on the 2nd day.....After lunch, i had indigestion and i was walking around with this.....painful look on my face. And when we met up with TPL (now known as Kikyo Leng LOL), i told her...' UGh.....i'm having indigestion....its like..i'm gonna give birth...i'm pregnant...it's Hibari's'....

LOL!!!! Xanthe and her sister immediately asked ' I THOUGHT MUKURO WAS THE SEME?!?!?!'
errr...well, things happen....Hibari can get PRETTTYYYY scary..LOL!!!!

but yeah...as lame as it sounds...it was hilarious at that moment..hahha..

Also, i would love to go to CosFest next month too, but somehow, it's a cursed event...I can't seem to go down....The situation now is, THERE ISN'T ENOUGH SPACE FOR ME IN THE HOTEL ROOM WITH RIKO AND GANG..!!! T^T

Yup, you guessed it right, i just came back from the premiere date of the ever awesome ' PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN : On Stranger Tides '

Frankly speaking, even without Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, the show still RAWKS..!!! with a capital 'R'..!!!
Johnny Depp still has his usual quirks, no surprises there..and the comedy part of it still made me tummy ache......
But somehow, the greatest of them all, in my humble opinion was...

HECTOR BARBOSSA..!!!!
OMFG he is THE PIRATE..!!!
(fyi, i've liked him since the first movie....LOL)

i'm not gonna spoil it anymore...you'll expect to see more stuffs rather than the usual Kraken, or walking skeletons, or Octopus human head......(btw, Davy Jones still on my list of AWESOME SAUCE pirates...and the FLYING DUTCHMAN!!! WOHOOOooo..!!!)

but...are..mermaids that scary???? hmmm..

Pirates of the Carribean, definitely an awesome movie...no more parley and whatever in this movie though.....

YES, finally after 6 months.....i decided to put on some costumes and jump around like a crazy nutter..!!
first of all....nope...no preview photos....because i find taking cosplay shots of myself with my phone is not flattering to my body.....and holding a sword and mask AND a phone..is hazardous....
i only have 2 hands, 2 palms....LOL..

ANYWAY..~~~
yup, C2AGE is dawning upon us....after a hiatus of 6 months, i decided to crawl out of my hibernation and cosplay for an event. Well, a little speck of bug like me wouldn't make any difference whether or not i cosplayed but.....I WANNA COSPLAY WITH RIKOOOOOO..!!

Ahem~~
as i was saying..
my choices of cosplays are always contrasting, or weird.
Like for example, for this weekend, i'll be appearing 1 day in FULL BLACK (from top to toe....=_=) and the next day......FULL WHITE!! (hallelujah for correct time of the month..!!)

why so genki? well, i just finished camwhoring in full regalia and i suddenly found the excitement again to cosplay.....i've been so hooked up with work lately that i dind't have time to focus on cosplay at all.....
and i didn't want to put on my costumes in that 6 months because i've piled on weight....
Good thing i managed to shed some pounds.....so i was thinking, why not i camwhore around..LOL

posing was a disaster....i totally forgot what are the do's and dont's....(riko help me..T^T)
and then came another trouble.....i was wearing gloves, and i decided HEY, why not refer to the photos in the phone?
GAHHHH.......it's iPhone for Christ sake..!! i can't wear gloves and work them..!!! (OH NOESSSSSSSSssss)
and yes, i'll be wearing gloves for both days of the cosplay event....BRAVO HITO..!! YOU DA GENIUS..!!

nevertheless, i still look forward to this weekend because i can finally meet up with riko neesan again...XD
the last time she came down, everything was so rushed.....so i hope this time i could have some....bedtalks with her..XD XD

Mom : Your dad also asking me liao leh....why you no bf...so....weird....
Me : WAHLIUEHHHH....DAD ALSO ASKING LIAO!??!?! WTH.....


So basically, my parents are waiting to kick me out of the house? but but but...what did i do wrong????? T^T

have you ever felt that when another person makes a choice, it reflects back on yourself, having made that choice before...
and what if that person's choice landed her in a better place, but for yours.....turned you into a laughing stock?

well yes.....i've been through this...and well, it might be that i'm thinking too much..but somehow, you're bound to think of the 'what if(s)'.....
Just recently, i felt a slight pierce in my feelings....I know it's not about me, but it was somewhat related to me that made me feel....a little....queasy.

OH well, i needed to vent this out....yeap, i know some of you out there might be thinking ' PFFt, what the hell is this crazy girl talking about now in this entry?????'
i don't blame you.....only close people know what i've been through and though i've made that decision of not looking back, it sometimes comes back to haunt you.

it's official..i'm an addict...

for the past month, i've been frequenting Starbucks so many times i have lost count. It's like it's my 2nd home now....

And now, i think i'm an addict..LOL..

Ever since Starbucks had their Happy Hour Promotion (whereby you buy ANY SIZED FRAPPUCCINO @ half price), i've been craving for their brews....be it hot or cold.

Yeap, and now....TADAH....i finally took one of these home....it's like...my bible of some sort now...LOL

MY BIBLE!!!

Anyway, most probably i'll collect Starbucks (or starbucks lookalike) merchandise starting from now..
Oh boy..there goes my money again....=_=

of FUR and LEATHER!

liek finally..!!! i bought my share of leather from Kamdar, Mid Valley....!!
not that i have anything lined up, but then i thought better to get it before it's gone, and according to the person there, it seems that they'll only restock ONCE every year for leather.

OK, well...it's not EXACTLY genuine leather, it's those PU cloth...but good enough for me to make my costumes.
I'm not too sure what i'll do with the leather yet (pants? top?gloves?) but well....i bought a good 2 meters of it. I can't afford to get anymore than that because well....it came at the wrong time of the month..bankruptcy came knocking on my door the other day..LOL

RIKO!!! you don't have to go all the way to Singapore to buy fur anymore..!!!
I was amazed that they had this and i immediately took a photo of it...i had wanted to upload it and announce to the world there and then, but PFFt....Digi had to be an arse that time.....

This fur is selling @ RM24.90 per meter....a wee bit pricey, but considering the fact that a friend of mine lugged her fur all the way from Singapore, that amount is kinda reasonable...LOL

The fur is still very much available when i went today, but the leather, according to the man there, is selling fast. He mentioned that last year, someone came in and bought the ENTIRE roll...(no wonder i can't find any black leather there anymore..!!!)
i'm guessing it must've been one of the cosplayers....LOL....

ANYWAY, hopefully they'll restock more of these in the future so that it'll ease all our problems of sourcing for materials....

Energizer Night Race 2011 - The Refund

Remember last month's fiasco regarding the disastrous Energizer run? well, it seems that after Energizer decided to take over, the participants' emotions and anger has been, let's just say, 'suppressed' well?

ANYWAY, as i was saying.....just the other day i was mentioning and ranting to a fellow colleague of mine (who was also one of the participants of the run) regarding the refunds. As it is approaching end of May soon, i was thinking, 'Hey, is Energizer just pulling our legs, lying to us saying that they'll refund us?'...

well guess what...i woke up today and my mom passed me a cheque of the refund. I guess big companies does thing differently....(unlike you-know-what-dumb-organizer does things *coughsEXPOSEcoughs*)
So anyway, this proves that Energizer REALLY meant what they say and the next thing to look forward to?
