Well, i wouldn't say the event is a big HOO HAA....it was just mediocre...I think it was a little hyped up because of the appearance of a seiyuu. I'm not a fan of Chihara Minorin, so i didn't splurge RM200++ on the tickets. However, i had a bloodshed over at the KKnM booth. To get to the booth was a little tricky. We had to queue up for almost 1 and a half hour to get to the booth because of the crowd. I do not blame them for this style of management, because seeing us Malaysians, it is understood that there will be people stealing stuffs from the booth if it is not manned that way. Though, the queue to the booth was sort of vague. Originally i thought the queue was for the Chihara Minorin ticket purchase, good thing we asked instead of just barging into the booth, else i think we'd be chased away...LOL....
The booth, well....there were some pretty nice stuffs there, like their t shirts, and keychains, shijitaki...but it was a little wee bit pricey. (RM114 for a t shirt? omg.....i think i'd rather spend that on a costume...)
Though, i still ultimately spent RM150 on shijitakis and other stuffs. I managed to get a Alleluyah Mobile Cleaner for myself and a Tornberry handphone strap for my bro. Those 2 were the killers. The mobile cleaner alone costed RM30++ and the Tornberry handphone strap was RM30++ too. But i thought, oh well, it's not everytime KKnM would be in Msia, so spending on such things once in a while wouldn't hurt much i guess.
The figurine displays were awesome. I've never seen SOOOOOO many nendoroids in 1 place before. THEY WERE SOOOO CUTe..!!!!
Lucky Star~ (homg, konata is shoooo cute..!!)
Saber and Rin (Lucky Star Version)
then we went over to the Macross Figurine booth and i was AWED by these 3 figurines.
Sheryl, Klan and Ranka
Sheryl and Ranka look really really nice..!! don't really like klan's figurine though...her boobs looked too fake...If my memory serves my right, i believe these 3 costed almost RM1K each. I don't remember where i saw the price though. GAH, if only money grow on trees in my house....haha....
I have a few complains for this event though. Usually i would just shove it off but i need to voice this out this time.
Photographers
I really really really HATED the photographers this time around. They just do not understand courtesy and manners. Most of them would just snipe at you when you are not ready. There was this one time when we were queueing up for the KKnM booth, and this Indian lady just went snipe frenzy on Riko. Riko was fixing her eyelashes that time and that lady prepared to snipe at her. I immediately stood in between her lense and Riko to stop her. You think that would put her off, but NOooo, she kept searching for angles to snipe Riko. In the end i had to tell her that we're fixing our makeup and i'd appreciate it if she just left us alone. Seriously, what is so nice about taking photos of people fixing their make up?
Apart from that, i saw in her DSLR when she was bragging to her friends, some of the 'attempted-upskirt' shots she did. If you have ethics, you don't go around sniping people's thighs and legs. Crazy sicko, and to think that you're a female....what a disgrace.....
Is it that difficult to ask for a simply permission to take a photo. There were several times, when we were having our photoshoots outside, several photographers would just come up to us when we are at our OOC times and just snipe us.
To those who did that, well, i hope you guys suffer for food poisoning for 1 week. *sticks tongue out*
To those who asked for permission, i appreciate it really much and thank you so much for taking our photos. *bows*
Sound System
HOMG, it was torturous to wait in line to the KKnM already, but to rub salt on the wound, the karaoke competition started at the moment we started queuing up. So we had to endure 1 hour of torturous singing in the hall. To top it off, the sound system was on a haywire mode. Certain sounds were too loud, the vocals were blasting one moment, the next moment it was too soft to even hear what the contestants were singing. There was a brief moment where i had goosebumps because of the singing, and i was wearing long sleeve, with coat. Imagine that.
Torture, true torture....if Simon Cowell were here, i think he'd be rushed to the hospital for immediate ear cancer.
Though, i salute those who joined the competition. Their bravery and guts is something i know i don't have even if tried for a million years.
Partition Wall
seriously, what's with that? This is the first time in any events that i've gone to so far that has such things. I know people paid for the Chihara Minorin concert. But hey, they got seats and do not need to squeeze around with the crowd to see her. But do you even need to block it off? They paid yes, that's why they got VIP and seats for it. Those who didn't just had to battle it out for their space.
What about the sponsors? They sponsored the event, but do they get to see her (Chihara Minorin)? NOooo.....they were left with the view of a high blue partition, much like the rest who didn't pay.
I'm not gonna complain much about this, because i do not know and am not a fan of CM....(lol..i got to see her like 5 feet away when she was walking into the hall through the parking lot...and yeah, i think she saw me and my friends too because we were the only cosplayers outside that time..hahha..really cute and pretty..XD)
well, that's that for the complaints section. Though, there were some few good stuffs for the event. The toilets were clean and dry and the surroundings were awesome for photoshoots. Volunteers were very friendly and food were easily obtained there. Though, from the parking lot to the event hall, we sort of got lost. Not enough signs to show where the hall was.
ANYWAY~~~
After that, well we figured we've nothing much to do in the hall anymore, so we sort of left and had our photoshoot. The photos are all raw now, but i'll work on it.
It has been an enjoyable weekend with the team and well, next is GACC..!!!
(pressure sia....@_@)
PS...... LOOK OUT FOR PHOTOSHOOT PHOTOs.....
