ok....to start it off...
GACC 2010 Day 01
Character : Shinomori Aoshi
Series : Rurouni Kenshin
When we arrived at the vicinity of MMU Melacca, we drove around like lost lambs. (or rather i drove around like a lost lamb)
There were so little signs to show where the event venue was and we ended up asking the security guard (who was luckily friendly to us....you know, not ALL security guards are friendly..it's either they chase you away rudely, or tell you TAK TAHU TAK TAHU....=_=)
SO, we were told there was another entrance and parking area further down the road which leads directly to the event venue, WHICH was true....
but to my horror, the road leading to the venue made KL potholes look like a joke.
It was a construction looking road which leads to...er...a Padang/Field. AND THAT my friend, is our parking area...
well, we thought things couldn't get any worse....we were wrong....DEAD WRONG....
As we approached our last-year's-changing-room, i noticed there were more people there than usual, with a foodstall right in front of the entrance...
i walked up to one of the helpers and asked, " erm...is this the event hall?"
he answered , " YES!"...i was dumbstruck.....before i even entered the hall, i could feel the sauna-heat fuming out....
and i was wearing a freaking thick coat that could even make Genting feel like normal KL weather.(with gloves at that too...=_=)
I entered it and had half a glance at the booths, got my figurine and ran out as soon as i can....any longer i would've fainted....really....
So that's that for the hall....(it's a nightmare, i don't even wanna reminisce about it anymore)
One thing good about that is that most of the cosplayers are gathered outside, and i met familiar faces and had a nice chat with a few of them. We had our own share of photoshoots outside the hall and in less than 2 hours of arriving, WE LEFT FOR OUR HOTEL...
that's it for GACC 2010 Day 01
so much for THE LAST GACC......(pfft, i thought it'd be EPIC...but BOY was i dissapointed)
Though, it was a consolation that we enjoyed ourselves really really really UBER much driving around Melacca town. (with See Wah's GPS telling us hard-to-understand directions....lol...it was really hilarious)
now, GACC 2nd Day.
Character : Alto Saotome
Series : Macross Frontier
AHh..the usual venue is back...WEEEe.......or so i thought.
The hype wasn't there anymore....I was expecting a 2007 hyped crowd, but it was kinda dead...
i couldn't even remember anything from the event...!!
i only stumbled upon the Grand Freeze, but lol..didn't participate in it...(not in the mood anymore)
OH, and for GACC 2010, i DUB THEE VOCALOID LAND...
everywhere i went, i see VOCALOID COSPLAYERS.....=_=
not that you guys suck, you guys were awesome..
just that i was hoping to see some varieties, like our neighbour Singapore cosplayers....
I look forward to clicking on event photos everytime there was an event in singapore.....
well, hopefully there's not THAT much of a vocaloid-ism in the next event....*prays*
