Comic Fiesta 08!

WHoa....it has been a long long weekend for me...with photoshoots and comic fiesta back to back, i practically had no time to update my blog AT ALL!

Anyways, here i am, slacking off from work in my office just to update this little fantasy realm of mine. LOL..!!

OK...where was i....OH YEah...COMIC FIESTA..!!!

first thing i gotta say about this event is...HOLY SHIT..I LOVE THE VENUE..!!!!! it's carpetted, it's huge, toilets are clean and smells nothing like erm..a toilet....and did i mention that it was in pyramid? Everything about this event is LOVe..!!!

convenient, near, parking isn't as expensive as last year's (SHITZ.last year was a killer..i spent RM20 on 2 days parking at Berjaya Times Square...KANASAI SIA!)

As usual, i went there with my team, Team Crimson Cross....yeah, it expanded....at first the team only consist of me and riko, but then more joined the team....

as of current, Team Crimson Cross consists of Me, Riko, Michi, Hui Ching and her sister. I'm not sure if Relyss, Tsu and Foxy are aware but it'll be fun to have them join the team too....

Team Crimson Cross will TRY to cosplay as a team in major events, but then it all still comes down to the individual's preference...but i'll talk about that some other time..LOL..!! (GAWD..my attention spent on stuffs really IS short....)

AHEM..~~ anyway, back to CF08....

YEah, this time, the ticket was RM25 for preorders of 2 days, and seriously, i felt this ticket price is VERY VERY reasonable....for the venue that great, RM25 is like..peanuts...i mean, i would rather pay more for comfortable events than save up RM20 and get a shitty venue where we cosplayers will be harrassed by uncivilized and stupid bozos (like last year in BTS). So yeah, RM25 is definitely more than worth it!

Regarding the MCs...well, many people were complainning that they went overboard with their jokes..personally, i felt that if you can't take a little sense of humour then what is the meaning of life? I mean, Alfred and Chuck did an awesome job MC-ing the event. No doubt that some of their jokes tend to get...a little er...PG-13 but still, it's acceptable.....it's not as if they are using the F word on stage....(did they?)

Next was the cosplay....Well, the cosplay level in Msia is really improving and there are varieties of cosplays now! no more MASSIVE KAGE BUNSHINS OF narutos and ichigos...or worse...Ls.....I need to say that....HOLY COW I GET TO TAKE PICTURES WITH OROCHIX AND PINKY..!!! i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw them.....1st day they werent cosplaying, and i couldn't recognise pinky..but i saw orochi taking videocam walking around, and then i know what to expect for the 2nd day...and true enough, they both came with major kickass costumes...(though i don't know what anime/game/manga it is from) but yeah, really made my day that i managed to take pics with them....LOL...

One thing that was bad there was the lighting....and Team Crimson Cross was so 'smart', all of us forgot about the handy option in our camera called the 'White Balance' function....and this resulted in ORANGY LOOKING pictures.....smart rite? hahahaha.....

Nevertheless, we still had MASSIVE fun taking pictures amongst ourselves.

OH, before i forget, i find it a little amusing.....it's called Comic Fiesta Malaysia.......yes..malaysia, but the joke was that....the competitions, are all won by foreigners...(except the group competition)...

Honorable Mention - Yuna gunner version (dusty) -- from singapore

Best in the Hall - Ashura...i think...(Pinky) -- from indonesia..

Best group performance - D Gray Man (Woo...GO MALAYSIA!)

CONGRATULATIONS PEOPLE.!!!! skye really can sing.!! i was actually dancing along when she sang Iteza gogo Kuji don't be late..LOL.....

i didn't really dusty in person, but i've seen her cosplays on sgcafe, and yeap, i've seen her gunner yuna..it's really good, can't deny it.

Pinky's cosplay....*salutes*....amazing.....

and last but not least....i really salute the DGM team...especially the Allen...it was a really good Allen and the sword......WHOA.....*drools*

However, at some parts of the event, i felt a little bored....LOL...if it werent for my Team, i think i would've left the event and went shopping....hahahah....

but nevertheless, i still enjoyed my time there and i'm looking forward to next year's event..

CF comm members, Helpers, Volunteers and everyone involved in the organising of the event....A HUGE THANK YOU FOR HAVING THIS EVENT..!!
