Sakura Gari is the best yaoi ever made.
It finally ended..(actually the final chapter was released back in march, but my connection sucked so bad, i kinda gave up reading it)
ANYWAY~~~
Sakura Gari is by far the best yaoi manga very made/wrote/drawn..
Hats off to Yuu Watase...she is indeed the Goddess of tragic/heart wrenching stories...
I thought Fushigi Yuugi was sad, heck i even cried non stop for Zettai Kareshi...
but that was normal love stories.....
i never knew i could feel so much for the characters for Yaoi series...
It wasn't just senseless sex and lust...the storyline was, hmm...i dunno it's beyond words...
(or maybe i'm just a sucker for tragic stories..haha.. somehow i love reading sad/heart wrenching love stories...LOL)
unlike Junjou (not that i'm saying Junjou sucks....it's much LOVE too..XD) Sakura Gari's plots are so dark, tragic and somewhat mysterious....and most of the time, it ended in cliffhangers..
somehow, i really hope that Yuu Watase-sensei release another shot epilogue on Masataka and Souma in the future, now that one has fulfilled his dream of being a Teacher and latter, a free man. It would be nice to see that both of them meeting once again under the sakura tree.
THOUGH, it'd be another great ending if Watase sensei just kills off Souma (told you i was a sucker for tragic stories..LOL)...
i mean, i had the imagination that it'd be like this....:
Panel one : A silhouette of a man appears from a distance, approaching the Sakura tree.
Panel two : It is revealed that the sillhouette is actually Masataka, as he removes his baret looking hat.
Panel three : Masataka says, ' Master Souma, it has been a while, blablablabla (no, i suck in all those touchy words, so i'm gonna skip those, OR i might edit this in the future ^^)
Panel four : Masataka looks into the sky, where a gust of wind blows, causing the sakura petals to swirl around....
Panel five : Masataka then says, ' I know that we'll always cherish the one thing we have, and that is the memory of once having been loved....
Panel six : ' right, Souma Sama?' .....reveals the grave of Souma.
WHOA...i didn't know i could write stuffs like this!!!
but really, that was the image i had in my mind when i read the final chapter....and IF, so happens that IF sakuragari has an epilogue, i wonder if it would be anything like that?
Life is pretty unpredictable....^^
all in all, Sakuragari gets a 6/5 recommendation from me.......
