Comic Fiesta 09 ~ DECULTURE!

ok, seriously, i still don't know what DECULTURE means, but yeah, that's a term from Macross.

Why i decided to put the Deculture in the title? well, because for both days, i cosplayed characters from Macross Frontier....

First day's was damn easy to pull off...it's the kind of character that i've been cosplaying since i started...but for 2nd day's, it was a whole new experience....LOL...

Day 01

Character Cosplayed : Michel Blanc

Series : Macross Frontier

Obviously, the guy character is me...LOL..next to me is my ever adorable KLAN XD

This character was a piece of cake to pull off...mainly because i had a photoshoot prior to CF. So that makes it a whole lot easier to portray his personality.....and i was wearing boots /flats...so it's easy mobility (heck, i could run around the place without much difficulties)

1 night prior to the event, me and riko made the elf-ish ears for ourselves...it was actually amusing during the process....riko was moulding the thing according to my ears and then the sides of my hair happened to be stuck on the jumping clay...riko just yanked them out and MY GOLLY....you understand where i'm getting to ya? LOL..
and then there was Relyss sadly saying that we took away her toy..LOL....
(you see, we needed her to keep er....playing with the clay so that it doesn't harden up...once it hardens, that's it..you can't mould it anymore...)

So we gradually took bits of the clay from her and until the end, we used up all that she was playing with.....and that's how we took away her toy...XD

Anyway, back to the event....

When we reached the venue, obviously we went for the tickets first.....and also to collect my preorder CF t shirt...this year's design was kinda funny...they had the tagline

" i bought this BLARDY T shirt at the event "....lol....
(though, i'd prefer if they had XS size, because the S size cutting was kinda big...)

So after collecting the tickets, we went for lunch....after which we went into the hall and then finally had our photoshoot....That's that for day 01...

YEAP~!!! I BROKE MY STREAK OF CROSSPLAYING..!!!!!!!

" OMGEEEEEE....HITO..IS THAT YOU!?!??! OMG..!!! OH MAI GOD..!!! "

yeah, i got that reaction like...so many times when i met familiar faces on day 02...I know it's a shock, but is it THAT shocking? LOL....i mean, i've cosplayed eversince i started, so i though why not give it a try as a female character this time?

Hmmm.....cosplaying sherly was seriously DIFFICULT..!! i mean, i've been so used to cosplaying guys, i can't pose like a girl. I needed crash course posings from Riko the night before and to make matters worse, we left the microphone in the car, and we were too lazy to walk back to the car to get it....haha....(besides, my version didn't really needed the mic)

Though, i kinda felt happy with the makeup. Riko really did a good job with the makeup. Seriously, i can't believe that was me when i first say my ownself in the photo...LOL...I was like...seriously, is this me? hahhaha...

(yes, i've never, in my life, seen myself that way before. I NEVER KNEW MY EYES COULD LOOK THAT HUGE! XD)

It was kinda fun cosplaying Sheryl in a way, because I DON'T HAVE TO BIND!!! for the first time!!! i cosplayed, and i needn't bind.....!!! XD)

After we had our fair share of roundings in the hall, we went out for our short-lived photoshoot...because all our cameras died on us....(yes, praise the genius hito for forgetting to charge the DSLR the night before!)

It's a definite thing that we'll be having a proper photoshoot for this couple, but as to when we'll have it, that remains a question...because i'm not mentally prepared yet to recosplay her...(though, she was easier to cosplay than kaname....gentle faces are not my thing....=_=)

OKAYYY..now, for CF, as in the event itself...

The layout this year was a definite improvement compared to that of last year's. Last year, it was as if the doujin booth were separated from the event itself..However, this year, we could see the stage from anywhere we stood within the halls. GREAT JOB PEOPLE! XD

Then next was the MCees. THEY WERE AWESOME!!! (nuff said...XD)

One thing i didn't really liked was that bump thingy near the doujin booth. It caused so many people to trip and fall. They really have gotta do something about that thing there. It's a good thing i have the tendency to look on the floor when i walk, else i'll be a victim to that dreaded bump monster on the floor.

OH, btw, was it me, or has the quantity of cosplayers gone down this year? All i see from photos taken are the same cosplays and same people. (not that that is anything bad...your cosplays are all kickass..!!!) Though, quantity went down, quality definitely went up. However, there weren't much of a variety this year compared to last year. Last year we had so many other animes/series/games characters...but this year all i see are K-on and Vocaloids.

Oh well, i guess you can't please everyone....haha.....i'm so looking forward to 2010 and 2011's CF now....NOPEZ, no more female cosplays (for the time being...haha....)

for 2010's CF, all i can say is.....it's gonna be FLAMING HOT~ XD *snaps*
