Desserts, Haircut and everything else....

WEeee..!!! After so long not meeting my cousin, finally we went out together yesterday.
LOL, we did what every girls would do. SHOPPING!!! (GAh...and there goes my money again....)
So we went to 1 Utama to hang out. Oh! We ate at this beautiful cafe called 'GARDEN' (no, not mid valley's gardens)....

It has this white grand piano greeting you at the entrace. The first thing that flashed into my mind was...'OHH.LA CORDA DORO PHOTOSHOOT!' (god...that's what floats around the mind of cosplayers......searching for every possible venue for photoshoots...LOL)

ANYWAY, the food there, well...it was ok. Coz i didn't really get to order my first choice meal...they ran out of sandwiches..(no more bread i think..LOL)...so i had to order Dory fish instead. It wasn't really my cup of tea....But it was edible....XD

And then as usual, we took photos...haha...

me and HZ

THEN, we went and splurge and pamper ourselves by spending more money...=_=

OH..and then...MY DAMN BOOTS WENT KAPUT! the entire sole came off..!! good thing i kept an extra pair of shoes (with excruciating heels) in the car. So i went back to the car and changed shoes. BUT, after 20 minutes of walking in those killer heels, my feet started to sore. So, we quickly looked for shoe shops, and in the end i bought a pair of shoes (JUST LIKE THAT!) in MOMOE....well, not my number 1 choice, but what the heck, it's a matter of life and death at that moment (well, for my feet at least...haha)

THEN, all those walking and running around made our minds wander off into searching for desserts. YES desserts...(OH LORD...there goes my diet....=_=)

SO, we stopped by Delicious...(i think that was the name of the cafe) for some sweet smackeral of desserts!
I ordered apple pie something-something..(couldn't remmeber the name..but it was...YUMMY!)
and my cousin got herself a Tiramisu in a glass....LOL....
When the desserts arrived, we were sOOOoooOOoo delighted.

OHOHOHO....MY DESSERT!!!!!!

Apple Pie Ice Cream something something.....dunno the exact name.. YUMMY!!!

HZ's Tiramisu in a Glass

but then, as time passes, we ate slowly, and even slower...coz our tummy couldn't fill that much food...LOL

After eating, both of us (who are obviously idiots) played with the pepper and salt holder....We were actually 'researching' HOW to pour the stuffs inside, out. Damn it was so funny..!! haha..

After that we left and went to The Curve/Cineleisure for the Bazaar. Unfortunately, it rained (GAH...hui zhen...you are budak hujan la!)
So, we just stayed there for a while and then we left home ( BUT I GOT A COOKIE MONSTER T SHIRT..!! WEEeee.....XD XD )

Ok, the fun part starts here......Part of the reason why Hui Zhen came over was also to CUT MY HAIR..!! YEs......she is my personal hair stylist..and i let her do whatever she wants with me hair..(ok...not whatever la, but i trust her entirely to cut/dye my hair...)

I was quite happy with the end result.

WOOT....new hairstyle..!!

Actually, this hairstlye was a complete fluke. I just happened to ask her to stop cutting and then i went and look at myself in the mirror. THen i just told her ' HMM...why not we stop here....let this left side be long.....LOL'

So...TADAH..!! This is how i look like now....NO MORE HOT LONG NECK POKING HAIR..!!
Maybe when i need to cosplay Halleluyah Haptism only will i leave it long again. Else, Gosh, in such a hot weather, it's better to keep it short..!!
THANK YOU HZ..!! LOVED THE HAIRCUT...(LOL..and it's FREEEEEe..!!! *yes, me ish cheapo *)

Then we had bedtalks till...i dunno what time.
OH, apparently, i sleep-talk......I wonder whether it was HZ who heard wrongly...YOU DREAMING LA GURL! I DOnT SLEEP TALK..!!!

YEAp, it was indeed a fun filled day....lots of laughter..hahahaha.....

Everlasting Story

Envelop me,
power of the love that I feel...
Heal the wounds in my heart.......

Yes...we recently just completed our Fushigi Yuugi photoshoot. Many thanks to everyone who was invovled. Eventhough there were obstacles and crap happening in the midst of this, i still feel happy that we did this shoot. All the laughters and tears on that very day will be forever remembered.

THANK YOU PEOPLE!!!

the cast....

Cosplayers
Hotohori - hitokiri_sien ( ME! XD)
Nuriko - riko kojima
Miaka - Michiru
Tasuki - Hui Ching

Photographers / Helpers
Tsubasafan
Elle

As there were 3 different cameras that day, the color scheme for the photos might differ. Also, because we are all still NOOBs at controlling and using the DSLR, some (if not most) of the photos will appear as if it's overexposed...because the sun wasn't giving us any mercy either that day...

Will upload the photos in my photoalbum (Crimson Cross) tonight. So, stay tuned.......^^

As we go on in life~~

Well, often times i'll reminisce the ups and downs i've been through in life. What left a big impression in me that made me into a person i'm not today.
There were many things that i wasn't taught, rather, i learnt it through life experiences and through common sense.
Believe it or not, not many people i know have that, or simply, they just couldn't be bothered to use it i guess....

ok, let's see....
i'll put in some of the guidlines that i've used, to 'survive' this harsh world of today.
(pardon my grammar....i am quite lazy to use perfect grammar here)

As a Kid,
~ Try out everything, but not trust everything ~
You see, we were all very curious about everything when we were all kids. We were all always WHY this, Why that....I don't blame these curiousity...heck, i even asked my mom...

' MOM, DID A STORK SENT ME HERE TOO? '  (after watching Disney's Dumbo, yeah...the flying baby elephant)
' What if the stork sent me to a different house? you not worried meh? '

LOL...thinking back, it was really hilarious.....i asked all sorts of funny funny questions...like..why are we standing on the floor....not the ceiling....and why must we walk with legs? can't we walk with our hands? (seriously, i tried to walk with my hands...ended up kena rotan...haha...)
i think my mom really had a headache raising me...haha...
not only my mom....my dad too..!! i would run all over the place when  i was a kid, especially when they brought me out.
There was one time i followed a stranger who was eating ice cream..(yes, i was a glutton....i wouldn't deny it even now, but i had to drop that because of cosplay..haha)
and i remembered i was left behind in Super Komtar, Penang.....my parents went down the escalator already, and i was still there ( i think i was only 3 years old that time) obsessed with the DELICIOUS view of ...yes...HAMBURGERS....(you know..McD had those BIG BIG burgers photos...haha..)

So, yeah i was a mischievous little one, but i do not trust everything a person tells me...there was once, a man came to me and said he'll buy me ice cream if i followed him. I think i was at a mall that time too...at the toys section...haha....
Then i told him......I may be 3 (or 4...can't remember la) but i am not stupid. Mommy told me not to trust in strangers.
After that, i ran back to my mom...who was standing like.....10 feet away? LOL..if i had followed him..i think i'd be dead by now......
Hmmm...i wonder if that could be the cause of my life's quote ,' Trust no one but yourself '.....

ANYWAY, that was when i was a kid.....LOL...(mischievous little devil...i know...)

As a Teenager
~ Tell yourself you can, have confidence but do not overestimate your abilities ~
You see, all those gluttony part of me made me grow into a prosperous teenager...i grew, horizantally..LOL....
It is always this phase of life that people either turn into a good person, or the worse.  Those who are envious of you would put you down, telling you that you can't, you're not cut out..blablabla...all those craps...
But, i do not limit myself to stuffs that could be done, rather i ask myself , ' What can't i do? '
Ok, example here.....
I was fat...yes...very extremely fat.....i weighed a hefty 87kgs...(SEE LA!! EAT SUMMORE LA!)
Most people will think that fat people like me couldn't be active in sports, heck, i think they would've thought that i'd lose my breathe even when i climbed the stairs.
But i proved them wrong....i loved playing basketball, sofball, badminton, running...all those sports where people think i couldn't do. However, i also know my limits. As much as i loved to run, i know i couldn't win medals for the school. Instead, i joined the shot put and disc throw team. So you see, being confident in yourself really helps you in your personality sculpting.

Okay, that's that....there were ups and downs, there were friends and enemies made, but i'm only human, and that's what makes me now....

As a young adult
~ Have confidence, act more, talk less ~
~~ Know what is appropriate to say, and what not to ~~
College/ University life and working life is almost similar to me. Confidence is a definite must..(i honed my confidence from Cosplay...not that i had none, just that i made better use of it...haha..)
In college, we are on our own......no more spoonfeeding from teachers. It's You-Do-Or-Die, in this case, You-Do-Or-FAIL!
So i've always pushed myself...often times, the thought of giving up will overshadow my confidence....But i managed to pull through after careful thoughts. I have had friends dropping out of college because they couldn't bare the stress...But then...if one couldn't bare the stress of college/uni life, then you wouldn't even survive a step in the working world.
AAaaa..talking about working life....
Obviously, when we are working, without doubt, there would be......YEs..politics!
As much as we love to lie low, eventually, there would be those politic matters that would crawl up your leg.
What's most important here is what we say. There are certain things that SHOULD NOT be blurted out of ones mouth. It's best to keep it to oneself. However, i understand not many people understand that too......
Sure, being straight has it's advantages, but that would also be digging your own grave......
A simple sentence could easily expose you to everyone...which is why silence is golden in the working world.

Right, so that's that in my life's journey...i think there might be a part 2 coming up

What a Weekend~

It was a bittersweet weekend for me.
Last weekend, Riko came down from penang for a photoshoot, and well, true enough, all of us were looking forward to this shoot.
In fact, i was cosplay deprived and for her to come down all the way from penang....well, all i could say was we were really looking forward to it.

However, things had to happen. We planned to leave the place at 8am and to reach the venue at 8.30am, BUT were held back when 1 of us requested to delay it a little bit.
Fair enough, i set the time from 8am to 8.30am instead. And to compromise with that person, we all had the plan to meet up at ss15 McD so that there would be no 'sesat jalan' issue as that would be time wastage. I was a bit pissed off when by 8.30am, that person called, and when asked where she is, she was only at Ampang.

As all of us know, photoshoots are about timing and punctuality. Time and tide waits for no one. The sun has already began to move and the later we start, the hotter the place will get and that the photos wouldn't turn out nice either. But, habits would be habits and once again she was late. So we had no choice but to leave for the venue without her. And at that very moment, my mom called and something HAD to happen at home.
So we rushed out shoot and left the place ASAP. I don't really want to go into details because it was a rather sad and frustrating incident (though i believe no one is at fault)...
If anyone is at fault, it would be the one who made the entire team rush out of the house, only to be at Ampang at the supposed meet up time.

That's that for saturday.

For sunday, it was a better day, but still i was affected by what happened the day before, so i didn't really enjoyed as much. (though, it didn't really seem like it..haha)
Anyway, on sunday, we went to The Curve for our karaoke session as well as our Prop/Accesories hunt for our future projects. I fell 'victim' to 2 pairs of glasses. One sunglasses and one normal reading glasses. Both are suitable for my future cosplays, so i thought..WHAT THE HECK, better get it now rather than to regret it later...haha..
But my loot wasn't as 'valuable' as Riko's..She bought a Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil on saturday which burnt a hole in her pocket....(for my case, i think it would've been burning more than my pockets...) RM99....0__0

After all those shouting in the karaoke room, we head for our next plan...which was....BOWLING!!
yes, we were all trying to 'wash the longkang'.....I will post up snapshots of it, SEriously...it was HILARIOUS!!!!
2 monkeys (you know who you are) were ROLLING the ball...yes...as if it was a big round watermelon. BUt, you have to bowl it...not roll it...which is why they 'cuci longkang' many times...hahah.....(eh..no hard feelings ya...damn funny la..haha)

OH, on a sidenote, MY FINGERS HURT....AAAAAa..MY THUMBS HURT!!!!

ahem~~
OHh, i forgot to mention.....THE DAMN MACHINE..ATE MY STRIKE...!!  i had 2 strikes in a row, and that damn machine had to be jammed up that time. So i lost out my strike.
KANASAI BETUL!!!!!

OKAAyy...after all those, we were drained..so we decided to head back home...
Hui Ching, Elle and See Wah left first, so dinner was only me, riko and tsu. We talked about lots of stuffs and around 9pm, we all head home.
THEN the fun part starts...

Riko experimented my CF cosplay make up on me. To be honest, i was surprised and took some time to adapt and accept the look. I had never seen my face that way and with that wig on....i almost couldn't recognise myself. After everything was done, Riko gave me tips on how to pose, how to look, which angle to stand, where to look...all i could say is ....she is my sifu la...hahahaha....

All in all, a lot happened during this weekend, there were lots of fun, a pinch of frustration, a dash of sadness and more exicitement!
WHAT A WEEKEND~

P/S ....I will post up photos later this week...too tired to process/edit them now....not to mention, i'm loss for inspiration. All i could think of now is my bed...MY FLUFFY BED~~

Cosplay Photoshoot Guidelines

OKAyy..as i was browsing through for some awesome cosplay photos to refer to for my photoshoot tomorrow, i came across a VERY interesting er....journal entry.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
~*credits to xrysx

1) things to set before everything else
=======================================
- theme
- mood
- colorscheme
- keypoint(s)/skeleton/main frame
- no. of cosplayers VS. no. of scenes VS. no. of photos
- agreements btw cosplayer & photographer(s)
- tentative date

2) factors to consider
======================
- time allocation VS. no. of scenes
- type of location(s) suitable
- no. of locations VS. no. of scenes
- transport VS. no. of locations
- no. of cosplayers VS. no. of photographers
- type of photographers suitable

3a) preparation (cosplayer's part)
==================================
- costume/wig/makeup, or course~
- points to express, distinctive must-do scenes
- actions, individual VS. interaction
- props when necessary, symbolic VS. visual
- image references, notes

3a~b) the grey area btw cosplayer/photographer
==============================================
- set location

3b) preparation (photographer's part)
=====================================
- at least go through img ref/notes before the shoot to get a feel of the series
- has an idea on the colorscheme and mood
- think of possible angle styles appropriate to the visual style of the series

4) execution
============
i panicked alot before a shoot. But once it starts, it's on the roll~
- the cosplayer would more or less know what to do, after all those pre-shoot preparations, and everything else goes spontaneously
- the photographer has the right to experiment, but should be relevant to the series
- fulfil the main points/scenes stated in (3a)

5) post-shoot stuff
===================
these should be discussed and agreed on mutually~
- pass-over of photos. original VS. edit
- style of edit & final approval
- public use of photos. cosplayer VS. photographer

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

First of all, no, i do not know xrysx, but i usually follow her cosplay photoshoots (mainly from sgcafe...because i'm a KAY PO CHI okay!?)
And no, she doesn't know me.....LOL...i'm just a nobody..haha....
and lastly, NO I AM NO STALKER...I JUST LOVE LOOKING AT GOOD COSPLAYs..OKAY?!?
AHEM~~~ anyway......
It's one of the best out there for reference....and while clicking through stuffs to be fav in my DA, i happened to stumble upon her DA too. Then just out of curiosity, i clicked on her journal and saw this.

As a person who just started out to plan on cosplay photoshoots and stuffs, i find this really useful to follow.
Somehow, i feel i skipped a few steps, but overall it still pulled through everytime i organise a photoshoot.
(WOOT...one of the most successful one is the Varia Photoshoot i organised last year......was so happy with the outcome and we had so much fun!)

Hmm.....maybe i'll follow this guideline for my next shoot ( La Corda anybody? ) XD
