Salutable Japanese

i've never cried for a disaster stricken nation before...but for the recent disaster that struck Japan, i shed tears. No, not because of what had befallen them, but how they aided each other, doing selfless deed and helping anyone and everyone around them.
It was tears of admirability (if there is such a word).....for i know, not every country can execute, much less follow 5% of what they are doing now.

Japan, considerably one of the top 5 strongest and richest country in the world, fell to the wrath of mother nature on the 11th of March 2011, but they are slowly standing up....
but what made me look up to them the most if their selfless deed in helping people around them.

The people stood up, supported each other in these few days of limited water, food and electricity. A line as long as you could imagine was formed, just for a phone call home...but what amazes me was that there was no shoving, no stealing and fighting....everyone lined up and waited for their turn.

Tokyo Disneyland was handing out free food and drinks to the people that were stranded nearby, people were giving out heating pads and offering breads. There was no crime, looting or havoc.
As quoted from one of ther survivors, 'We're all in this, in the same boat'...
Really, these are heart warming stories that could bring anyone to tears...
Have a read here..

I couldn't guarantee that should such disaster happen, or something HALF this size of this disaster happen in where i'm staying (touch wood!), these stories would surface. I foresee crime, looting, fighting and ultimately MORE lives lost, but i do not rule out that there maybe miracles happening in this little country from where i am.
People you meet, you see, heck, even those driving on the road daily are already selfish as they are.
Even the person closest to you now MIGHT NOT do what the Japanese have done for each other in times of difficulties.

God, please have mercy on Japan. Some say it's karma, others feel it's just a matter of coincidence. Karma or not, i feel no one in this world deserves to go through such sufferings.
Japan has colored our lives with so many great things. Technology, Knowledge, Entertainment.....
JAPAN, OUR HEARTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU...
stay strong..!!!!

Earthquake + Tsunami disaster in Japan

It was a Friday evening (local time), and everyone in the office is pretty much relaxed, waiting for the clock to strike 6 so that we could all enjoy our weekends...

However, at about 3.30pm (i think), news was received via MSN, Hotmail, FB, etc that a massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit the shores of Japan, and what followed after was an enormous tsunami.....

Immediately, we all opened CNN, AL JAZEERA, whatever news you could find online regarding mother nature's wrath....
It wasn't clearly shown how bad the damage was...but it was bad...real bad.

Clearer footage of how the enormous tidal wave swallowed up the shores and everything that's in its way were later shown on local news....It's really really bad....i can't find the proper words to describe how devastating the damage was...
It makes us feel so small when faced with the forces of nature...Ships, trains and cars were all swept away as if they were made of paper and plastics.....Roads cracked open like cream crackers and you could see helpless people stuck on rooftops..

And as if that wasn't enough, they had to face with radiations from a nuclear plant....

My prayers goes out to all of Japan as well as the rest of the countries that were hit by this disaster. I'm still looking for trustworthy sites in which i could chip in my donation. It may be like a drop of water in the sea, but at least i will be doing my part to help Japan.

Japan has given us so many wonderful enjoyment in life....Anime, Cosplay, Manga, Games, Technology, Knowledge......it's time we do our part...
God have mercy......

AND, one of the local newspapers decided to draw a tasteless caricature on this disaster. The editor should be SACKED for approving that piece of tasteless crap to be published.
Yeah, i know it's a caricature, but hey, now isn't the time for that ok!?!?
use some brains before you do anything...dumbass...=_=
SHAME ON YOU!!!!
