it'll be because of coffee...
yeah..i was shocked because of my cholesterol level. Recently i tested my cholesterol levels in the office and i was really really shocked of the number that appeared on the machine...
It's even higher than my mom's cholesterol level and she is on medication.
I mean, i know my family has a history of high cholesterol, but i never knew it'd happen to me like..so fast..!!!

but, i'm eating right....i exercise daily.....and well...i'm doing everything right...so what's wrong?
Then i thought...could it be coffee?
(because i tend to drink excessive amounts of coffee per day..sometimes up to 4 mugs per day)
true enough, there's this substance called terpenes and Cafestol....in unfiltered coffee...
The coffee that i drink usually are those instant coffee powders...so i doubt it's filtered....

THERE YOU HAVE IT..the culprit of my sky rocketing cholesterol levels....
So, if i should die, it'd be because i'll be hit by stroke....=_=
as much as i love coffee, i believe i love my life more.....LOL!!!

i needed to blog about this.....XD

YEah....well, i'm very very extremely obsessed with Tegami Bachi / Letter Bee now.
It was almost the same obsession i have when i watched Saiyuki last time. It's not that Tegami Bachi has any bishies or whatever (okayy....admittedly, Gauche is much love...also Jiggy Pepper..XD)

But, it's the meaning of the show....i never knew letters have that much meanings to it...
Put a thought into it, should there be no Handphones, no computers, no sms, no webcams, no messanger and blogs...oh..and not forgetting Facebook..LOL...
What if all these is nonexistent?
how are we to contact our loved ones should be we miles apart from them?

YEs, the only things around are letters.
In Tegami Bachi's world, no such thing existed, that's why the Letter Bees are the carriers of hopes and news...

There's a strange attraction to this manga/anime/story that i can't put into words...
It reminds me of FullMetal Alchemist...but FullMetal Alchemist didn't make me cry as much as this series.
(well, maybe because Lag is a crybaby here..LOL)

But anyway, it's really really nice and i would definitely recommend this anime/manga to anyone who loved FullMetal Alchemist.

*** warning once again, spoilers begin here....well, some of it wouldn't make sense if you havent read till chapter 43 though....***

The 2nd opening theme really reflected what Lag's feelings on Gauche...(no! not yaoi mind you.....i like to look at them more like brotherly love)
It's really really really sad to see what has become of Gauche. The very first time i watched the first episode of this series, when i saw Gauche, i already loved him A LOT..(it's the same unexplainable feelings i have for Heine Westenfluss of Gundam Seed Destiny) And knowing that i loved him a lot and that he is not the main character of the series, i already know something really BAD would happen to him..
especially when he explained to Lag that should one fire too much shindan, that person will lose his heart and be an empty shell.....The moment he mentioned that to Lag, i already know that something similar would happen to him...

true enough....he lost his heart...and lost all memories of him being Gauche.......And you can feel how heartbroken Lag and Sylvette is....
Even though they got him back, he is still Noir. He is Noir with Gauche's memories in Gauche's body. Somehow, i feel unless the manga-ka reveals what happened to him, Gauche wouldn't return. Hiroyuki Asada is truly a genius at stirring up the reader's feeling. One moment, he will let you feel as if Gauche had returned, but at the same time, you'll feel that MAYBE THAT ISn'T GAUCHE after all.....
(well, that's what i felt when i read the manga the whole time they had Gauche back...)

I really hope that this series will have a happy ending...really, i don't give much of a damn for endings (happy or not, it's just another story)...but there are only a few series that i really really really hope to have good and happy endings.
I was really happy with FMA's ending.....Chrono Crusade was okay, but i loved the ending too.
Zettai Kareshi's was DAMN FREAKING SAD I TELL YOU......i had wanted Knight to live on, yuu watase had to kill him off....i cried like shiat..!!!

As for Tegami Bachi? my ideal ending for it would be that Gauche got back his memories and is back being Gauche again.....and that eventhough Sylvette is wheelchair bound, he had his brother, Gauche....Lag, Niche, Steak, Aria and a whole lotta people together. Lag having lost his mother could still have a family with the Suedes, and also Niche and Steak. Then, Gauche will retire being a Bee and help out at the Sinners weaponry/ bakery while Lag continues on to be a Letter Bee and continues his aim to be the Head Bee.
Yeah...that'd be a happy ending.....
(lol..you can't hope for too much rite? it'd be fake and illogical if Gauche becomes the Head Bee, that way he'll have to be apart from his family.....and if Gauche is the Head Bee, then Lag would have to surpass Gauche. That'd make Gauche and Lag become rivals...=_=|||)

but yeah...it's a rant, but something that has been in my mind since i started this series......

Why?
well...i've been having hard time to sleep since monday....yes, i sleep at 12am....but i toss and turn and don't usually fall into deep sleep.
There must be something that is worrying me...but i just can't pinpoint on what the matter is.

I thought my drowning myself in the deep abyss of Animes and Mangas could cure it, but yeah...just for that moment, i tend to get my mind off whatever i'm worrying about (in which, i have absolutely no idea....) and focus on the anime/manga..
But after that....when i lie on the bed looking off into the white ceiling, i just can't sleep.

I thought of sleeping pills, but then i have none at home....
Drinking beer and wine is out of the question..
What is this emotional stressful feeling i'm going through now?!?!
i just don't know........really, i just don't know......

ADAM LAMBERT is the greatest GLAM idol of the century..!!!!
yup, i went for the concert......i believe a lot has been mentioned in the newspapers regarding the stupidity of 'certain people/party' protesting his performance.....
(heck, stupid is as stupid does i guess? if you guys cant accept his performance, then DON'T COME AT ALL!!!!)

what i can see is, a superbly talented person, who came across the seas to puny little malaysia and performed an awesomely glammed concert.
I don't see any harm done, even if he does his usual kiss-tommy-tougue-tiving thing on stage....so what?!?!?
it's all part of the show....it's all part of art...
if you can't accept that form of art, then go hide yourself in a conservative cave and rot there....

ANYWAY~~~~
back to glamnation...XD
At the dot at 6pm, me and tiffany dashed out of the office......fearing that we'll be stuck in the traffic, we had to leave on the dot.
I was amazed that we manage to find the place (mind you, we didn't know where the stadium was, so we main bantai find the place with a bunch of google map printouts..LOL)
We reached at approximately 6.55pm or so, and parking was ABUNDANCE that time.....

both me and tiff had never attended concert such as this (i've attended VGL, but that is orchestrated type of performance...so it's very DIFFERENT~!)
so we're not exactly sure how the situation was. We wandered around, searched for food and took some photos......
After eating, we went to our numbered seats and waited for I Lin and the show to begin. I Lin missed the first 3 opening performances by our Malaysian Idol and another 2 more (i dunno their names..LOL...) Not bad, but compared to Adam?..........LOL.......incomparable..XD

The hilarious thing was the barricade became 'unbarricaded' when the lights went out...LOL..
(OHHH.!! randomly....MY WINAMP IS PLAYING FOR YOUR ENTERTAINMENT NOW!!! OMAIGOD!!!!)
the fans pushed forward, ignoring the barricade......me and tiff were like 'OMAIGOD....these people are scary!!!!'

At about 8.30pm or so......THE GLAM began.....XD (Good thing I Lin came in time!!!)
i couldn't believe my eyes...i'm looking at Adam Lambert LIVE!!!!
I almost had tears flow down my cheek because..OMAIGOD..i'm looking at him live..!!!!!
I didn't take any photos, because unlike most malaysians, i respect the rules set up that no cameras/videocams are allowed......So i tucked away my phone after some camwhoring sessions and enjoyed the show...

And yes...it's the BEST performance EVER..!!!
I loved it a lot when he sang Fever, For Your Entertainment, If I Had You and the iconic Whadaya Want from Me.
OH OH~~~~ when he introduced the crew, particularly Tommy (his bassist), in my mind....i was thinking 'sHonen ai, shonen ai, shonen ai' ALL THE TIME..!!!
LOL.....i give it a chop of approval...XD

All in all, i'm still suffering the aftermath of the concert...(see what Adam Lambert did to me?)
i even started calling MiLo, Adam...LOL..(and my mom was like ' Lambert sounded nicer....)

NIke 10km run on TEN TEN TEN...!!!

Why would one, wake up at dawn on a Sunday morning..(wait..i dun think it's dawn...is 4am dawn? =_=)
for no particular reason?
well, actually, there is a reason.....LOL...

I woke up on 10-10-10 for a 10km run in KL. Kinda memorable if you asked me...
That was one of the biggest group of runs i've gone with. Our group consisted of.....
- Me!
- Tiffany
- Swit Yee aka AGU
- Anne
- Swee Leng
- See Wah
- Li Ern

Twas a funny thing getting to Swee Leng's place....We had absolutely no idea how to get to our meet up point (O & S cafe), and we were 'playing' U turns at this particular traffic light.Then there was this uncle sitting around there (duno for what, it's freaking 6am ++ in the morning..!!! crazy a!?!? sunday morning go and sleep la!!) and he was pointing at us..LOL..most probably for driving like a maniac in the morning..LOL!!!

Anyway, we zoomed to the venue and parked quite a distance from the starting point. (no choice, RELA guards were blocking the nearest parking lot...=_=)

So, i wanted to answer to nature's call, and dash for the nearest mobile toilet...and OMG...those people ..(yeah, 'those' people....you know what i'm talking about la...those 'wantons') USED the toilet for so freaking long...it's as if they were shitting inside...i really have no idea what they were doing inside.....i got annoyed waiting for them....stupid dumb pigs....

ANYWAY~~~
we proceeded to the starting line after that and i heard that JJ was around..!! WEEeee..!!!

I have no idea where Li Ern went..she was so 'kan cheong' that she dashed to the starting line up ASAP...

The run this time was relatively easier than expected. (okay, partially because i already did whatever 'business' needed to do at home..LOL!!)
I finished it in 59:09 (59 minutes and 9 seconds)...improvement much if you asked me...Because for my previous 2 runs (Std chartered and Siemens) i clocked in a disappointing 1 hour 40+ mins, and 1 hour 20+ mins respectively......Shitty time is shitty....=_=
This time i was a little bit more than an hour...so i was kinda happy with my achievement.

Then, obviously...with 7 girls and cameras around, we took some 'artistic' shots..XD

Prop Tutorial : BK201 Dagger (Darker Than Black)

okayy....once again, before i start, it's not entirely
the BEST prop out there. I have limited skills in making props for cosplaying, but at least i do it myself instead of buying it...

SO, on to the WIP...XD

First, i started by gathering materials like :-
- Mounting Boards
- Masking Tape
- Double Sided tape
- MORE Mounting boards...LOL

I got the blueprint of the dagger online, so much thanks to whoever who drew that out..really, thank you so very much..!!!
Then, i printed them out on A3 (actual scale) so that i don't screw them up on the measurements..(numbers are never my forte...^^)

So here it is...the actual size of the dagger...

It's kinda detailed, so really....my thanks to the person who uploaded this blueprint. You have my eternal gratitude..!!!

Then, i proceeded to work on the hilt first....so, i cut out the hilt part and traced it onto the board (seriously, i have no idea what this board is called..=_= it's those with spaces in between)

It's kinda straightforward....This is the middle and broadest part of the hilt, so i only needed to cut out 1 piece for this.


I made a mistake using the wrong board, so i replaced this with mounting board instead because the white one is much too thick...

ANYWAY~~
i proceeded to cut out the thinner part of the hilt which. I cut out 4 pieces of the exact same thing because i needed to glue this on on both sides of the hilt.


(ok, it was around this time, i noticed there were blood around my arms....and i didn't know that my thumb was actually bleeding from a cut...LOL!)

SO, next i glued everything together in the correct order and i noticed there was this metal thingy at the bottom of the hilt. So i decided to use wires instead of cutting out mounting boards for it......i could also secure the hilt with the wires to make it more sturdy (instead of it being...er....flimsy and...limp? LOL!! i know~ i know...bad word to use..LOL!!)



To make the thing look...er...slanted at the sides i used masking tape. Originally i wanted to use polysterene foam to make the hilt, but i'm no good in controlling the blade. LOL...
So yeah, that's that for the hilt....
I had to wait a day later to spray it because it was already 1am in the morning and it was raining ...=_=

I couldn't do anything much to the hilt now (no thanks to the rain =_=) so i continued on by cutting out the blades. I cut out 2 huge blade, and 3 smaller ones.
and then i placed 2 strands of hard wires in the blade so that the blade would be straight instead of being...er..limp? LOL!!!



LOL..it was around 2am after that, so i decided to stop......And after sitting on the floor for the whole day doing this, my back was SORE and aching!!!!
So i continued it the next day...which was a BRIGHT AND SUNNY DAY!!!
perfect for Spray painting!!!!



This is how it looks like after i spray painted the hilt. Not much yet because i have yet to mount the blade....XD
It practically looks something like this once mounted. But then this is just temporary...the blade could just slip off the hilt...because i didn't apply any adhesive on it yet...XD

So yeah, proceeded with the masking taping again......for the sharp blade effect...
Then i spray painted the blade, and TADAH...looks like this..!!!


Then i sprayed 2 strips of the thinner area of the blade, and taped it onto the blade. I get something like this...XD (man, i'm starting to sound like Art attack...=_=)



Yeah, i know it's a kinda crumpled on the sides, the couldn't be helped....i was working with a plastered finger..LOL!!

So basically, before mounting these 2 together, it'll look like this..

After this, i was running around the house asking if anyone has UHU glue...i went WTF when everyone said no...i was like WTF?!?!?! no UHU GLUE AT ALL IN THIS WHOLE HOUSE?!?!?!?!?

then i went on a digging rampage...i dug for whatever liquid adhesive stuffs i could find in the house...originally i wanted to use PVC glue, BUT WHAT IF I SWING SWING THE BLADE AND THEN THE HILT AND THE BLADE GETS SEPARATED?!?!!? it's BLASPHEMY!!!!

TADAH...i then found my glue gun..!!! WHOAAAa.....good thing it was still working...and i still had glue tubes.....So i heated up the glue gun and fire away..!!!!!
And the result....XD




It's DONE!!!!!!
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE...!!!!!
Okay, i admit it's not the BEST looking dagger out there, but still....ok ok la? XD

So now, the only thing missing from my project is the costume.....props i can make, but costumes....better leave it to the pros...LOL!!!
Most probably i'll make the mask again (if time allows) because compared to the dagger, the mask is a complete PHAILURE....=_=

how in the world, do i cut my finger......in which the finger that has the cut, was the finger on the hand that holds the blade?
(understand? LOL)

meaning....
i hold blade in my right hand...
but the cut (kinda deep too) was on the right thumb.....

WEIRD MUCH!!!!
(and i didn't realise that i cut it......there were blood all over the place and i was wondering where the blood came from..=_=)

After i realised where the cut was, only i began to feel painful..LOL!!!!

Oh well, most prolly today i'll post up another entry regarding the prop that made me bleed...LOL
